Jhon is a New York City based visual artist; curating and designing an array of uniquely creative tattoos, digital art, graphite drawings, interactive sculptures and murals. Jhon’s passion for art began at the tender young age of 5; his artistry and zeal for art was ignited in junior high school where he vigorously attended art classes at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Thereafter, he began taking illustration classes, studying animation, design, color, and schematic painting. As his academic (artistic) journey continued, Jhon immersed himself in his high school advanced placement (AP) studio art class for two full periods, per day in high school for (4) four years. During his early years of high school Jhon would spend time at the Phun Phactory; a Queens haven which drew graffiti artists from all around the world. After graduating from high school Jhon studied graphic design at the Technical Career Institute college. While in college Jhon began to create graphic t- shirts and customized sneakers; these items were sold in stores across the NYC metropolitan area. After completing his degree in graphic art design, his passion for art continued to thrive, resulting in design opportunities for musical talents like Dj Kayslay and Papoose. These design opportunities catapulted Jhon’s artistic career; he was hired to develop and design cds, dvd, book covers and logos for other musical artists and authors for four (4) years. Jhon’s artistry transitioned him into other design genres; thereafter he began designing for Harley Davidson, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Marvel to design clothing. Simultaneously, Jhon pasted and furnished his innovative art in the streets of NYC. Over the course of the next six years Jhon flourished as a full-time artist, exhibiting his art all over the country— and even in parts of Europe. While traveling as a full-time artist, Jhon exclusively created paper subtractions, sculptures, interactive sculptures, murals and installations. As his artistry evolved, Jhon decided to pursue tattooing, this passion continued to fuel his creativity, innovativeness, and entrepreneurial spirit.
